On January 22 at 5:00 PM, Orosi High School will host an “Incoming 9th Grade Parent/Guardian and Student Information Night.”

This is a very important, mandatory event for parents/guardians and students to attend as students prepare for 2026-2027 high school registration. Parents and students will be informed about high school expectations, pathways, academies, VAPA, AVID, and elective course options.

Tuesday's game against Citrus has been rescheduled to February 5th.

8th-grade parents, this is a reminder that today is the Orosi High School Elective Roadshow. Due to the foggy day schedule, students will now walk to OHS at 1:15 PM. They will return to El Monte around 2:30 PM.

8th-grade Parents and Guardians, Orosi High School is so excited to welcome your student as they begin their journey to become Cardinals.

Please mark your calendar for the following important events:

🚶The Roadshow (For Students): On January 16th, students will participate in the 'Incoming 9th Grade Roadshow.' At 12:30 PM, students will walk over to the high school to tour classrooms, explore Career Pathways, and learn about graduation requirements. Students will return to El Monte around 2:30 PM.

✍🏻Mandatory Information Night: On January 22nd at 5:00 PM, OHS will be hosting a mandatory Parent Information Night in the OHS Gymnasium. This is a vital session where they will discuss registration for the 2026-2027 school year. Plus, if you register via the QR code, dinner will be provided for your family! 🐦Future Cardinal Night: On January 27th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, the entire community is invited to 'Future Cardinal Night.' Come out to the OHS Gym and Multi-Purpose Room to see the student ambassador showcase, meet with resource vendors, and even taste items from the Food Services menu.

🧑🏻‍🏫Counselor Visits: Finally, on February 4th, OHS high school counselors will visit El Monte Middle School to meet with students individually and help them finalize their course selections.

This program consists of 6-week sessions designed to empower families to lead in their student’s educational journey. Families will build leadership skills and strengthen family–school partnerships that support student progress and success.

-If you are dropping off items for a class party, please ask your student what period they need it for.
-Students are on early release. They are out at 1:35 PM.
-The office staff will be supervising the talent show from 1:00-1:35, so the office will be closed.
-Students return to school on January 12, 2026.

El Monte:
A reminder that this Friday is an early release day for El Monte students, with dismissal at 1:35 PM. The Talent Show is scheduled from 1:00 PM to 1:35 PM. During this performance, the main office will be closed, and all staff will be supervising in the gym. No students can be signed out during the talent show. Our students will return from winter break on January 12th.
